The tech space is fast becoming the hallmark of the modern business landscape, with more and more start-ups choosing to dive headfirst into this competitive industry. Definitely not a space which is lacking in creativity and innovation, which is why we were delighted at the opportunity to pitch for the chance to run the Talent Unleashed UK Awards – a celebration of top technologists and entrepreneurs run by leading global IT&T recruitment specialist, Talent International.
Featuring an expert panel including Sir Richard Branson and WIRED, with the overall winner being whisked off to Richard Branson’s Entrepreneurial Centre in South Africa in November, the Talent Unleashed Awards comes hot on the heels of the global awards, which were announced in August.
Firefly is responsible for coordinating the awards entry process, media relations and social media activities, culminating in a gala dinner announcing the overall winner. Firefly will also be working with Talent on the implementation of a global rebrand, and PR plan for 2015 following the awards.
The account is run by Firefly managing director Phil Szomszor, who reports directly to CEO of Talent International UK, Jon Butterfield.
Commenting on Firefly’s appointment, CEO of Talent International, Jon Butterfield says, “We selected Firefly because the team share our own enthusiasm for celebrating UK IT talent and they have the necessary domain expertise to make this event a success,”
“We see this as the perfect start to announcing Talent’s expansion in the UK market and look forward to working with Phil and his team now and in the future.”
