Firefly PR does its bit for charity at Race for Life

Last night some of the Firefly team completed their 2nd Race for Life in Battersea Park to raise money for Cancer Research UK (along with another 3,000 people). Dressed in bright pink with flashing antennae, and with soggy and muddy trainers from the rain, we gathered together for photos and attached our race numbers (there are now no safety pins left in the First Aid box). Luckily, the rain stopped and the weather brightened up when we reached the start. We all gave the running a go, but we weren’t quite up to Paula Radcliffe’s standard, she shot past us when we were at the 2k marker and she was on the home stretch already! It was a very moving event – in every sense. Battersea Park was a great place to run and when we finally crossed the finish line there was a very impressive picnic waiting for us, along with a much needed glass of wine or two.

Thanks to everyone who supported us this year, we beat our fundraising target and if you’re feeling charitable there’s still time to sponsor us.

How many times have we uttered these words in defeat during the festive season? After hours of trying to decrypt the magic combination of ‘yesses’ and ‘nos’ in a chatbot window while online shopping, desperately trying to reach the inbox of a human employee. Well, if you believe the AI industry’s announcements, come the new […] ...Read more

The rise of the tech “LinkedInfluencer”

LinkedIn turned twenty years old in 2023 and has undergone much transformation within its two decades. Once purely a place to find and list jobs, as well as connect with peers, the platform has morphed into something more akin to Instagram, or Facebook.
