This Wednesday (26th May) Firefly is rallying together to raise money for Cancer Research UK by running in a Race for Life. This is the largest female-only fundraising event in the UK and we are determined to raise money for this brilliant cause and reach the finish line. We are taking part in the Battersea Park event in the early evening, when hopefully, temperatures won’t be too scorching!

It also happens to be my 22nd birthday that day, so what better way to celebrate than getting all red faced and sweaty with my fellow Fireflies? Hopefully there will be cake and perhaps a strong drink at the end.

Some of us are choosing to attempt the 5K distance head on, while others are taking a more relaxed way to fundraising by enjoying a gentle stroll.  Please look out for us - we will all be distinguishable as fireflies, as we head through the park sporting our flashing ‘head boppers’.

We have set up asponsorship pageand all the money we raise will go to the charity to fund research into beating cancer. Wish us luck!
