Culture

PR & Comms – Account Executive

Are you ready to start or develop your career in PR and communications, and do you want to be ‘a reputation shaper’?

Firefly Communications is growing and looking for a new account executive for its UK office. There are similar roles available in our French and German offices.

The ideal candidate will be an ambitious graduate (or similar), a confident writer and proof reader with excellent time management, and someone with a keen interest in technology.

We offer the opportunity to work on a range of B2B and B2C technology clients. This role is primarily based in the UK, but over time, you will have the opportunity to support the French and German offices as needed.

You need to show passion and interest in:

  • Working on a diverse range of work and clients, from start-ups to global brands, from traditional media relations, copywriting and reporting to paid and organic social media campaigns and business development
  • Building relationships with clients in a variety of sectors
  • Delivering results from press coverage, building social followings to app downloads and go-to-market content
  • Being part of fast-moving projects with hard deadlines
  • Jumping in at the deep end, but never feeling out of your depth – there’s a team of experts with you
  • …and of course, an interest in technology beyond just loving your smart phone! 

Salary: £21k – £28k, negotiable and dependent on experience. Permanent, full-time position.

We offer working from home, flexible working, part-time working and job sharing.

Meet Claire Walker, CEO of Firefly

Claire founded Firefly Communications Group in 1988. She works closely with the Firefly teams in London, Munich and Paris, supporting clients on a range of challenging communications briefs

Claire has been a member of the PRCA board since 2000 and is a chairman of the PRCA Professional Practices Committee, which serves to uphold the PRCA Code of Conduct dealing with complaints and investigations into disputes and breaches
